Inventory of Hazardous Materials:
Meticulous survey
for your assurance
An Inventory of Hazardous Materials (IHM) is a certificate identifying all potentially hazardous materials onboard a vessel. It points out where the hazardous materials can be found and the hazardous quantity. With an IHM certificate, shipowners can ensure the safety of their crew members throughout the vessels’ life cycle and assure safe handling of the hazardous materials at the point of recycling.
Being a pioneer of green, safe and sustainable ship and offshore recycling services, Grieg Green has extensive knowledge and experience in IHM, proven by a notable track record.

Recycling:
Strict requirements
and monitoring
Grieg Green only collaborates with what we consider to be the top Ship Recycling Facilities in the world. As a minimum, they must follow Grieg Green’s recycling policies, which are well in line with relevant national and international legislations. The Ship Recycling Facilities are audited and monitored regularly and must be ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certified. Adherence to the Hong Kong International Convention for the Safe and Environmentally Sound Recycling of Ships (the Hong Kong Convention) and the EU Ship Recycling Regulation (EU SRR) is mandatory.
